With too many online products or investments that are sprouting just everywhere like mushroom today, it is best that you know how to keep away from those fraudulent deals and get the value of the money you pay. We are not saying this to scare you, but to make you be more vigilant and monitor closely your purchase or expenditure.
1. Don't Be Carried Away With Catchy Post Or Ads
Facebook is widely used social media platforms because everyone has it. This also the field where scammers post bait to get your money. Either it is on Facebook groups you've joined or on somebody's timeline wall, you see post for fast earning or selling of online products. You have to know that most of these online offers are fraud. There are too many we had observed that will drop prices beyond the base price just to lurk or flock customers to their site or Facebook page such things like comment this and that to win certain prizes or simply getting you to sign up to a new site. Evil people or those who had hidden agendas in posting are so creative. They don't simply give away things without getting something in return from you. This is a basic because that's how the world run or how the world of business runs but the thing is, you do not actually get the value of what you give to them than what you are getting.
One, these people are using dummy accounts to lure people to do something that would benefit them. Sometimes they get the things they want without you getting any in return. Do you know that by simply liking a Facebook page, they can sniff information from you? How much more if you give them your personal information such as your name, address, and etc. The digital world is so full of darkness and people are so greedy. They can sell that information to clients who needed, that is why more often, you get spam emails on your inbox.
2. Always Know That There Is No Easy Money
Transactions like fast return investment or Ponzi scheme are just superficial. Underlying it is a cyber terrorism act which aims to get as much money from people they've scam rather than giving you any return or benefit. Good for those who got profit from it, but after time it will be gone. Do not make yourself a willing victim or take part in any activity such as becoming a financial handler because as we are saying, these people are ready to convince you to work for them for higher pay but you are putting your name and reputation at stake!
3. Be Wary Of Friend Request From Strangers
Gone are the days that you can actually make true friends online because frauds are everywhere. If you haven't met or know the person personally, be careful of the information you give. In the past years, there are so many reports of people sending money to someone they do not know because they are being threatened that their videos scandal will be spread over the internet. Imagine how prudent these people to get money from you so stop being careless and be intelligent with whom you are talking online.
4. Only Buy From Trusted Seller
If you are planning to shop online, make sure that they are legit. These days even an ordinary kid or teen can make a website, and some are used to do their evil works. On a larger scale of frauding, these people will hire others talent to make a video of a product to convey amazing result but in reality, it is working that way. Read and bypass any information about the product and the legitimacy of the site/owner. On social media like Facebook, we have seen dirty tactics of some seller. On one time I bought something online and because the seller is from another city, I just wanted to make sure that I will be getting the product I shall buy so the seller suggested making a 'legit check'. The legit check works this way, the seller will post legit check, meaning calling those customers that had bought from them to let you know that they are not scamming away your money once they had it but little did I know that these seller got those bunch of fake accounts that would post 'legit' to vouch for the seller. This fake accounts were from sellers or working for them.
The Attitude That One Must Possess So They Won't Be Scammed
1. Don't be greedy
There are ways you can actually get progress in life but those needs some skills. If it is easy to work and you get high pay for doing so, such as data entry or captcha, then be wary. Captcha is there for security, and if you are doing this work you are helping those cybercriminals to penetrate a system.
2. Be vigilant of odd things
We don't say that all odd things are fraud but mostly it is. If your instinct is telling you that it is not safe, listen to it because chances are, it is always RIGHT.
3. Don't be a false witness
Go for what is right and this is for always. Do not stand to talk lies or becoming a witness just for the sake of the money you shall earn. Remember that that money you earn in bad ways will not last long in your hands because everything in this world is being tested.
4. If they get something from you, don't get it back
Whatever these people get from you, do not get it back. We do not say this thing to condon the act of mischief but it is for your best interest to let it. If it is money, you can report it to the authority. Sometimes you got a chance to get it back but mostly, it is waste. We understand falling into their tricks can make you angry. It is good because you understand that such action is not good but you could not fuel angry emotion to make even because this could make you do bad things. Justice isn't in your hands, so do not try to do your own no matter how badly you felt. Everyone is a victim of injustice in one way or another and trust that those people who did a wrong act won't get out of it forever.
5. Work and earn clean
Old folks remind us that no empire is built in a day. The catch here is that if someone is earning money fast, there must be hideous about it. We do not say that it is really impossible to get rich quick on clean living. This is if you got the skill that others do not have. Like for those singers, painters, and other professions that enable them to get a high paying project are examples that it is not impossible to escalate your living condition one day.
6. Do your business the right way.
If you are working or doing business online, make sure that you are not taking advantage of anyone. Make sure that you are giving the value of the product you are selling and informing your customers for the product they want to buy. Don't resort to shaming your customer if they had not able to comply on the agreed dates or place.
